Election Day in the USA is a day of collective action. November 2, 2020, PREPARE: Pre-Election Prayer and Reflective Engagement will be a day of collective interfaith prayer. Election Day is about action, we PREPARE with contemplation. Election Day takes spiritual courage, we PREPARE with spiritual fortification. Election Day is about hope, we must PREPARE by nurturing that hope. Especially this year, especially when the virus has forced us to be distanced from each other, we need this space and time for a virtual pre-election spiritual gathering. We will PREPARE to do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with God. There is so much work to be done, let’s PREPARE together spiritually, propelling us forward.
This virtual interfaith prayer vigil, organized by First Baptist Church of Ann Arbor and Temple Beth Emeth, will be held in the PREPARE: Pre-Election Prayer and Reflective Engagement Facebook Group. Every hour on the hour, from 1:00p to 9:00p, local interfaith leaders will be leading prayer for 15 minutes. Join us as you are able to PREPARE.
