Please plan to attend First Baptist’s Program Annual Meeting on April 27, 2025 after worship (11:15a). Along with celebrating our work together, we will examine the impact of our previous pastors in an effort to determine particular leadership qualities we want in our future pastor(s).  We will also approve and commission our Pastor Search Committee and new incoming board members and officers. Thank you, Robbie Stapleton! Robbie has been our moderator for the last three years. During her time as moderator, she has been our shepherd during a season of loss, transition, and hopeful planning. We will be officially thanking Robbie for her ministry among us at the annual meeting on April 27. We have note cards available at Fellowship on Sunday for folks to write notes of gratitude to Robbie. You can also write a note online that we will print and share with her at the annual meeting.

The Gathering, our campus ministry, meets each Wednesday evening for dinner and conversation. Our hope is to support this ministry by providing dinner – home-cooked or otherwise! Please choose a date that works for you to provide a meal. Dinners should feed 8 and be dropped off ready to serve by 5:15p. Contact Janice Stumpf (jlstumpf@umich.edu) if you have any questions.

Communion is served on the first Sunday of each month at FBCA2. Each Communion Sunday, we need 6 people to partner with Pastors Stacey and Paul to distribute communion. For more information about the specific roles and responsibilities click here: Communion Instructions.

It is a treat to have flowers for worship! Would you like to help make this happen? If so, select a Sunday. Then, by the Wednesday before, email Kat (office@fbca2.org) with the dedication for the bulletin. Also by the Wednesday before, let Dana Larson (lapd4larson@gmail.com) of the Board of Worship know if you would like to have a floral arrangement ($50) ordered from a local florist or if you prefer to bring your own flowers. If bringing your own flowers, please have them at church on Sunday morning by 9:40 am. Questions? Connect with Dana.

Youth, you are an important part of our worshiping community! 6th through 12th graders are invited to acolyte once a month or every other month.

We are in need of volunteers to help cook or serve a hot meal on the third Thursday of each month at Hope Clinic in Ypsilanti. Interested? Contact Karen Rayner or simply sign up!. No experience required and ALL are welcome (friends, family, colleagues…). Why not sign up for a time with a friend? Volunteers must be 12 or older.
