Let’s Connect

We’re looking forward to Children’s Ministry Sunday on May 3rd! The kids will lead the prayers, share the Scripture readings, play music, and greet. We will have a rehearsal on Saturday, May 2nd from 10:00-11:30 for children in PreK through 5th grade. To help us plan, could you please take a moment to fill out this Children’s Ministry Sunday form. You’ll be asked to share about your availability and whether your child(ren) would like to play an instrument and/or have a speaking part during worship. Xan is looking forward to the time planning and leading worship with your kids!

The Gathering, our campus ministry, meets each Wednesday evening for dinner and conversation. Our hope is to support this ministry by providing dinner – home-cooked or otherwise! Please choose a date that works for you to provide a meal. Dinners should feed 6 and be dropped off in the Campus Center kitchen ready to serve by 5:45p. Communion is served on the first Sunday of each month at FBCA2. Each Communion Sunday, we need 6 people to partner with our pastor to distribute communion. For more information about the specific roles and responsibilities, review the Communion Preparation and Serving Instructions.

It is a treat to have flowers for worship! Would you like to help make this happen? If so, select a Sunday. Then, by the Wednesday before, email Kat (office@fbca2.org) with the dedication for the bulletin. Also by the Wednesday before, let Dana Larson (lapd4larson@gmail.com) of the Board of Worship know if you would like to have a floral arrangement ($50) ordered from a local florist or if you prefer to bring your own flowers. Youth, you are an important part of our worshiping community! 6th through 12th graders are invited to acolyte once a month or every other month.

We are in need of volunteers to help cook or serve a hot meal on the third Thursday of each month at Hope Clinic in Ypsilanti. Interested? Contact Karen Rayner or simply sign up!. No experience required and ALL are welcome (friends, family, colleagues…). Why not sign up for a time with a friend? Volunteers must be 12 or older.
