In addition to being a finalist and prizewinner in the 2011 Guitar Foundation of America International Guitar Competition, Jeremy Collins has received first prizes at the “Classical Minds” Festival Guitar Competition; the Appalachian State Guitar Fest Solo Competition; the East Carolina University Solo Guitar
Competition; the Rantucci Guitar Competition; the Dominguez Hills Solo Competition; the ASTA “Aaron Green” Guitar Competition; the Columbus State University Guitar Symposium Competition; and the University of Louisville Guitar Competition. Mr. Collins began his studies on the guitar at age 13 with Rodney Stucky at the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) preparatory program. He went on to study with Grammy award-winning guitarists Jason Vieaux, at the Cleveland Institute of Music, and William Kanengiser, at the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music.
