Here you will find the information for two concert series that are presented at First Baptist Church of Ann Arbor.

Ad Libitum

Ad Libitum is a formal concert series presented in the First Baptist’s beautiful sanctuary. This series features a variety of inspiring music in different styles performed by nationally and internationally well-known musicians. In the season of 2011-2012, we celebrate music from the Renaissance and Baroque periods with the ensemble Sfogati in January and music by Bach and Corelli with Baroque violinist Katharina Uhde and harpsichordist Shin-Ae Chun in March. In May, the musicians from First Baptist will put their talents together to present an exciting concert with a potpourri of music. For more information about each concert on Ad Libitum, click here.

Coffee Break Concert Series

Coffee Break Concert Series is a casual afternoon concert series. On chosen Thursdays at 1:30PM, we invite student- and local musicians to bring their musical talents. This is a wonderful opportunity for both the performers and the audience to share and enjoy the variety of music in a friendly environment with homemade cookies and coffee provided.  The concert schedule is updated frequently on our website. At First Baptist Church, many people have found inspiration in music that is offered by various musicians. We hope that each concert nourishes your spirit and enriches this community to which we all belong. All concerts are open to the public and free, thanks to the generous sponsors and support from our church members.
